We are often asked the differences between the two countries as well as the advantages of India. Both countries are ancient civilizations with similar population sizes and both are comprised of hard working people but that is where the similarities start and stop. India and China could not be any more different. India is Democratic while China is Socialist. India is western oriented and individualistic while China is more about the good of the state over the good of the individual. China is most well known for its production and manufacturing prowess while India is known for its Knowledge Outsourcing and Services Sector. China is about cheap labor while India is about creativity. Now somewhere in the middle you have a mix of all of these attributes. Overwhelmingly potential buyers line up to do business with China. The fact is that China is about 20 years ahead of India when it comes to the product sourcing game. It has better roads and general infrastructure. However, India does excel in several areas once you get past the hectic atmosphere, the bureaucracy, and the laid back attitude. In fact, Indians tend to better understand the US and western economic environment and are more accountable in their dealings than their Chinese counterparts. All in All you can source goods from either giant and find both good and bad in each. Since we have experience in both countries we like to educate our clients.
